Based in Midtown Manhattan, the BIG EAST Conference was established in 1979 and is a 10-member NCAA Division I athletic league which sponsors 22 sports. Member schools are Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova and Xavier.
