PDBY - Official student newspaper of the University of Pretoria

The first issue of PDBY (formerly Perdeby) hit the streets in 1939. Today PDBY has established itself as one of the leading student publications in South Africa. The newspaper is tabloid sized and varies between 8 and 28 pages. In order to reach the majority of UP students, the primary distribution channel of the newspaper is digital. The digital version of the newspaper is available on Issuu with printed copies of PDBY distributed free of charge during the university term. PDBY print copies are distributed outside all the buildings on Hatfield Campus of the University of Pretoria, Groenkloof Campus, Onderstepoort, Medical Campus, Mamelodi Campus, as well as all the residences. All of the news that appears in the hard copy version of PDBY is now also available online along with extra news and inside scoops.
