RESIDE RELAXED LUXURY

W Design Interiors Creating a timeless, luxurious design that is at the same time comfortable and approachable was the goal of Wendy Berry, owner and principal designer at W Design Interiors, and her design team. This traditionally styled Port Royal home nods to the East Indies, and the architecture and high transom bath window are the showpieces in the primary bedroom suite. “For any primary suite, our goal is always to create a comfortable space where the homeowners can relax in a serene environment,” says Berry. “We took advantage of the home’s beautiful outdoor space by incorporating a color scheme of sandy neutrals and ocean blues. The primary bathroom features a harmonious blend of organic, natural materials.” (wdesign.com)

As the name suggests, the primary bedroom is the largest and usually the most attractive bedroom in the home. Typically occupied by the owner, this bedroom often boasts premier placement on the floorplan and optimal views. When creating primary bedroom suites, interior designers often look to five-star hotels for inspiration, incorporating little luxuries to promote rest and rejuvenation. We selected primary bedroom creations from six local interior designers to share.
Koastal Design Group Kira Krümm & Co. Warm, inviting, and livable is the approach Kira Krümm, principal interior designer at Koastal Design Group Kira Krümm & Co., took when designing this coastal contemporary beachfront residence on Gulf Shore Drive. Special elements in the primary bedroom suite include a customdesigned bed and furnishings; custom his-and-her cabinetry; a luxurious walk-in shower; a freestanding tub on a chevron-accent tile insert; and custom-lit mirrors. “When designing a primary bedroom, I work with my clients to create a meaningful sanctuary that will be comfortable and aligned with their aesthetic style,” explains Krümm. “I also look for inspiration in the beautiful natural surroundings to create harmony between the indoors and out.” (koastaldesigngroup.com)
