WELCOME to the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the 10th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational. This year, the tournament has a new home, the spectacular ARIA Resort & Casino, and will be played at Shadow Creek, one of my favorite golf courses. I am especially honored that this tournament marks the first time that the renowned Shadow Creek will be open to the public. As always, an amazing line-up of celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment will join me for fierce competition on the golf course and to participate in fun events - all in the name of charity. Since the tournament’s inception, I am proud to say we have raised over $5 million for a variety of deserving causes. This year, MJCI will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the James R. Jordan Foundation, Cats Care and the Nevada Cancer Institute. In addition, each participating celebrity will compete for a $200,000 purse to be donated to his or her charity of choice. I extend my sincere thanks to all of the celebrities for their continued support and participation, to our generous sponsors and supporters, to our hardworking staff and dedicated volunteers and the many others who contributed to making this year’s Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational a reality. Each year I look forward to spending time and competing with our tremendous group of players. I hope your experience at the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational is memorable and exciting.
