Dear Friends of Park Tudor, The following 2018-2019 Annual Report recognizes the generosity of more than 1,200 donors to Park Tudor. These donors include current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff. Your gifts provide tangible support for the school’s mission to provide an exceptional education and extraordinary opportunities to all our students. We are pleased to recognize the generosity of all our donors on the following pages. In addition to their own generous financial support, many parents, alumni and faculty volunteer at events and other fundraisers throughout the year to encourage others to support the school. I’d like to highlight a few of these efforts: • In February, a committee of 14 parent volunteers planned and hosted the first “Uncorked,” a fundraiser to benefit the Park Tudor Annual Fund. This sold-out event was held at the world-famous Pagoda at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. More than 150 guests enjoyed an evening sampling fine wine from around the world, a live auction featuring one-of-a kind prizes and experiences, and the opportunity to take a “hot lap” around the IMS road course. This special evening raised more than $50,000 for the Annual Fund. • In April, Park Tudor welcomed more than 500 alumni to campus for Reunion Weekend. Thanks to the energy and creativity of event planner Anne Rogers Mitchell ’85, along with other alumni volunteers, we were able to bring all reunion events to campus for the first time in many years. As part of the weekend, members of the Tudor Hall class of 1969 dedicated a handcrafted sun dial which they presented to the school as their reunion year gift. • All three auxiliary parent organizations – the Park Tudor Parents’ Association, Booster Club and Fine Arts Guild – successfully created opportunities for parents to connect through signature events and volunteer opportunities. These often “behind-the-scenes” volunteers spend countless hours helping to ensure our faculty and students are prepared and supported in the classroom, on the field or on the stage. Beyond raising funds for the school’s programs and operations, the development office also maintains connections with Park Tudor alumni around the world. Last year, the school hosted an alumni reception in Chicago, and dinners for recent graduates at Indiana University, Purdue University, Notre Dame, DePauw and Wabash. Our Alumni Association also hosted their annual professional networking event in May, and a social evening at Top Golf. We are grateful to all our alums who took the time to join us to socialize, reconnect, and share memories of Park Tudor; we extend a special thanks to all who braved the Polar Vortex during our Chicago visit! And, my thanks to the members of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association who provide critical leadership for all our efforts to engage with alumni. How To Make a Gift to Park Tudor’s Annual Fund OUTRIGHT GIFT Gifts may be made by credit card or check, made payable to Park Tudor School. You may mail your gift or visit www.parktudor.org/give to make a secure online donation. PLEDGE Make payments that are convenient for you. Pledge your gift to the Annual Fund indicating the amount of your contribution at www.parktudor.org/give. Whether you wish to make monthly payments or one payment at a later date, all pledges must be fulfilled by the end of our fiscal year, June 30. SECURITIES You can make your Annual Fund donation with a gift of stock. A gift of appreciated securities may allow you to avoid capital gains on the increased value of the stock as well as a charitable deduction for the full market value when the gift is made. Check with your financial advisor for more details. Please contact the Development Office for assistance in this process. MEMORIAL AND HONORARIUM GIFTS Your gift may be made in memory or in honor of a colleague, student, teacher, classmate or family member who is special to you. Please include this information in the appropriate area on the gift/pledge envelope or the notes section of the online donation form. The Development Office will notify the individual(s) or family of your tribute. Park Tudor greatly appreciates every gift to the school and proudly acknowledges each donor in the Annual Report. Each year, Park Tudor School offers a variety of opportunities to support the school, both financially and through in-kind donations. Listed in these pages are the names of those who have made donations to one or more of the following: Annual Fund, capital campaign, endowed funds, estate gifts realized and restricted funds.
