AROUND TOWN

Peninsula Heritage School Spring Gala, “A Night in Napa” Parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of Peninsula Heritage School recently enjoyed a delightful evening at this year’s “A Night in Napa” annual Gala. HT Grill in Redondo Beach provided the perfect site for this gathering, which featured live music, wine tasting, live auction, and a delicious three-course dinner. Event co-chairs Devon Hennessey Smith and Anna Perry, along with Head of School Dr. Cindy Chun and the committees of parents, planned every detail of this very successful evening. Funds raised benefit the school’s current campus enhancement plan.

Children with Vision Loss Sing & Dance Along to “Trolls Band Together” with Audio Description at PPV’s Holiday Movie Event Partners for Pediatric Vision (PPV) held their sixth Audio Described movie event on December 3, 2023, thanks to the Krikorian Metroplex in Buena Park. Nearly 20 children with vision loss and their families were able to “watch” Trolls Band Together, with the help of additional narration through headphones. After the movie, families were treated to lunch, followed by holiday gifts for the children and their siblings, thanks to the Mattel Children’s Foundation generous donation of toys. Vistas for Children and Junior Vistas, longtime supporters of Partners for Pediatric Vision, wrapped every gift.
