MARY COLEMAN LYNN ’90, P ’23 JOINS BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Mary joins the Board following a rich history of involvement with the School. She attended Canterbury, having graduated in 1990, as did her five brothers and two nephews, and her daughter, Olivia, is currently in her Fourth Form year. Mary earned a B.F.A. from New York School of Interior Design, NY, and started her company, Mary Lynn Coleman Interiors, in 2008. She serves on the Admission and Advancement Board Committees. She also has been appointed to the School’s newly formed Community Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, which includes broad representation from the extended Canterbury family.
Mary and her husband Robert live with their four children, Connor, Whitney, Owen, and Olivia ’23 in Lloyd Harbor, NY.
“It truly is an honor and a privilege to be invited to join the Canterbury Board of Trustees. My three years as a student have had such a profound impact on my life and many of my family members’ lives. I was thrilled when our daughter, Olivia, decided to apply. My heart is full, knowing that she will benefit from the same transformative experience and will be living and learning in an environment set apart by its Five Values of Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Self-reliance, and Spirituality. The strength of Rachel’s leadership and the unparalleled commitment of the Trustees are charting a very exciting course for the School, and I look forward to contributing to the work of this exceptional team.”
