Blackford Law’s tagline “Keeping Families Together” is a driving principle for immigration attorney Brian J. Blackford, but one aspect among many that sets his practice apart.

“I think the main qualities I’ve learned through my experiences and tried to instill in my staff are honesty and communication,” Blackford said. “Those are two huge components in all businesses, but especially in ours. We are dealing with people who are from different cultures but are new to America, and they want to be able to go to somebody they can trust—especially since a lot of times their own governments are corrupt or who persecuted them.”

Blackford has practiced for 14 years and his team is growing to serve the diverse legal needs of his clientele.

“Geopolitically there are going to be some shifts in who we assist moving forward. We’re already seeing different populations of those seeking asylum and refugee status such as those from Afghanistan and Ukraine,” he said. “We are looking forward to assisting those populations of immigrants who are trying to achieve the American dream like everyone else.”
