Mayor Jean Stothert FACE OF OMAHA

city of omaha

This year—2022—is the year of recovery, reinvestment, and rebuilding. With the strong support of our taxpayers and our business and philanthropic partners, the Face of Omaha will look much different in the next years.

We are distributing millions of dollars in American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide financial assistance to families and nonprofit organizations to provide supportive services to our citizens.

The Riverfront will open three amazing public spaces on the Missouri River, including the Kiewit Luminarium. Mutual of Omaha will begin construction of its corporate headquarters downtown, and a streetcar will begin to take shape.

Across our city, new development and transit brings opportunities for employment, housing, education, and entertainment, creating an environment where businesses can grow and families can thrive.

Nearly everything we accomplish benefits from the leadership, vision, and financial support of our business, philanthropic and nonprofit communities. Building great partnerships is the way we get things done in Omaha. We are grateful for these remarkable investments.

I am proud to be the mayor of a community that values each other, strives for inclusivity, and embraces positive change. We have great momentum.

Who are the FACES OF OMAHA?

This book was created in 2016 to introduce the “faces” of local industry leaders experts, and it’s one of my favorites of the many publications that we produce each year.

What makes FACES of OmahaTM (now in its seventh edition) exclusive is that only one person and company per business category is invited to participate. Everyone featured in the book is truly a premier leader in their field. My sales team spent considerable time cultivating this list to ensure that we showcase only those companies and industries that show quality and professionalism in their business, which is what we feature in this book.

The search is on for FACES of Omaha 2023. I encourage the public, and the business community, to tell us who they think is a “face” in the metro area. Call 402.884.2000 to reach one of our team members.
