Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory

An all-seasons glass conservatory of 17,500 sq. ft. of gardens. Move from the tropical gardens with tall palms and vibrant flowers to the temperate gardens with moss-covered oak trees and azaleas. Surprises await at every turn, like a ten-foot waterfall, a spectacular overlook of the conservatory, and a pool with water lilies.

Model Railroad Garden

G-scale model trains whir throughout a handcrafted all-natural garden peppered with reproductions of Omaha landmarks, natural landscapes, and rolling countrysides.

Song of the Lark Meadow

A true taste of the Midwest with beautiful wildflowers and other native Nebraska flowers and grasses.

Tree Peony Garden

Tribute to the Chinese tree peony, the national flower of China, with Asianinfluenced focal points like sculptures, benches, and meandering paths.

Rose Garden

Nearly 2,000 rose plants bloom first around the month of May, and again mid-September through frost, though the garden boasts colors all season long with other plantings. A collection of charming white trellises with climbing roses opens up to a large arbor area, a lovely setting for weddings and special events.

Woodland Waterfall

While you’re there, ascend the stairs to Kenefick Park and be rewarded with magnificent sights: Union Pacific Railroad’s Centennial No. 6900 and Big Boy 4023, two of the most powerful locomotives ever built, and a sweeping view of the Missouri River and Interstate 80 stretching toward the scenic Iowa Loess Hills.
