BARRY KUBAT Batten Trailer Leasing

JBT Trailer Leasing, LLC, a trailer rental and leasing company, announced the acquisition of Batten Trailer Leasing as of July 1, 2020, and the new company operates and conducts business under the name Batten Trailer Leasing. Barry Kubat, who formerly owned a small trucking and transportation business, now serves as president of Batten Trailer Leasing. Kubat stepped into the role held by the company’s founding owner, Blaine Batten, who announced his retirement upon the acquisition.

Kubat purchased his first two trailers from Blaine Batten when he founded Kubat Transport in 2017, and subsequently provided transportation and consulting services to Batten.

“Blaine has been an incredible mentor to me, sharing his years of expertise and experience, along with some amazing stories. I am looking forward to continuing the Batten Trailer Leasing tradition under the ownership of JBT,” Kubat said.

Batten Trailer Leasing was founded in 1984. Under new ownership, the company provides more equipment offerings, extended geographic reach and greater depth of talent and resources, and expects to expand ancillary products and services in the near future.
