Plattsmouth Community Schools is an accredited public school district. It offers traditional classes for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The district also oversees Plattsmouth Early Childhood Center, which provides a large amount of enrichment programs for preschool-aged students. Many Plattsmouth teachers hold advanced degrees in their subjects. They update their knowledge through workshops and training sessions each year. They have helped many students earn local, state and national academic honors. Plattsmouth also provides students with chances to excel in fine arts, athletics, culinary arts and vocational programs. Many student groups attend state workshops and conferences each year, and the Blue Devils often return home with top prizes in their categories. Several students also won awards on a national scale this past school year. The district has spent the past several years upgrading school buildings and facilities as the result of a $15 million bond issue. The district has used this money for a wide array of indoor and outdoor projects.
