The Olivetree Review

Established in 1983, the OTR is an undergraduate literary and arts journal at Hunter College. We accept a wide range of visual art and writing each semester. Since 1983, the OTR has grown exponentially under the leadership of various Hunter students and faculty. Staff alumni and contributors have gone on to become published writers, professors, managers, professionals in the field of publishing, and much more. In May of 2013, the OTR received the "2012-2013 Outstanding Student Organization" award from Hunter College's Student Activities and USG. In 2014, we received the Columbia Scholastic Gold Medal Award for Issue 52. In 2015 we received the Columbia Scholastic Gold Medal Award for Issues 54. We have over a thousand issues circulating at Hunter College every semester. Getting published with us is a great way to gain exposure and recognition. And working with OTR is also a wonderful way to learn about periodic journal publishing.
