Kolkata, India and raised in the U.S. since the age of 6, Lagnajita was named Nashville’s first-ever Youth Poet Laureate and published her first book of poetry before she graduated high school. Her words and ideas are already reaching audiences worldwide with speaking engagements on campus, at the Nashville

Mayor’s inauguration, with Michelle Obama in D.C. and in her native India.
