Mission Statement: Equine rescue, rehabilitation, education and adoption services. Assistance to law enforcement and animal agencies with cruelty investigations and the care and placement of horses. Promoting horse care and humane, natural methods of training for horses. Provide sanctuary to horses whose owners have passed away or are terminally ill. Goal and Objective of 2023: Horse Protection is actively seeking a gift of land of 100 or more acres with facilities in Central Marion County. Our current facility is no longer large enough to care for the number of horses that are in need. We, on average, receive ten calls a month regarding horses in desperate and life-threatening situations. A gift of land would allow us to rescue and care for the multitudes of horses in our community who are so desperately in need. Signature Event (s): Horse Protection is now proudly offering their Spirt Walk Program. This program unites a rescued miniature horse with a participant for a walk on a beautiful lane on Horse Protection’s property.
