Jean-Louis Baroux has 45 years’ experience in the airline industry. In 1991, he founded APG Global Associates, the world’s leading sales and distribution network for airlines and he is also founder and President of APG World Connect and APG Academy. Jean-Louis Baroux is the author of The Airlines: The Failure of an Industry, (LID Publishing, 2013); Transport aérien : une profession au bord de la crise de nerfs, (Archipel, 2012), and Terror over the Vatican (Archipel, 2014).
Francis Brangier has been CEO at Egis Airport Operation since 2014. He is a qualified engineer from the French National Civil Aviation School (ENAC) with over 30 years’ experience in civil aviation. Francis joined Sofréavia in 1999, becoming Assistant Director General of Egis Avia in 2010. He is an administrator of several airports in Africa (Ivory Coast, Gabon, Congo) and elsewhere (Belgium, Cyprus, Brazil).
A graduate of Marseilles Business School and IEP Strasbourg, Marie Carru joined Proavia in 1996 after being involved in a study conducted for the French Civil Aviation Authority on exports of French airport equipment. She previously worked at Société Générale’s marketing department and is now director of the industry association.

Mengistu Jima is an investment banker with over 20 years’ experience in aviation, trade, project, infrastructure and ECA finance. His previous posts include Resident Consultant at the African Development Bank (Ethiopia Office) and CEO of a startup management-consulting firm in Ethiopia. He has co-authored a book on microfinance and published several research papers on finance. He holds MBA (Warwick, UK), MSc and BA degrees in economics.
Ian Kincaid is a Senior Vice-President with InterVISTAS Consulting. He is a transportation economist with more than twenty years’ experience in forecasting, policy analysis and economic impact studies inter alia. Ian has conducted a number of studies on the air transportation industry and the benefits of liberalisation on the industry and the wider economy. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Science in Operational Research.
