In the glass 2014 ROTIE CELLARS NORTHERN BLEND 95% SYRAH 5% VIOGNIER REVIEW BY WES ABNEY
This Eastern Washington tribute to the Northern Rhone French Syrah’s is a fermented, not blended combination of Syrah and Viognier. This process causes an enzymatic reaction that adds honeysuckle notes and aromatic complexity to a wine full of soft fruit flavors and florals, dark chocolate and a smooth, dry finish. The Durban Poison from Sofresh Farms is true to its name and is one of the best smelling strains we’ve ever come across. It’s incredibly fresh, smelling like it was just picked yesterday. The aroma is predominantly pinene with hints of sweetness, a fruity note that smells berry-like, as though it could be cherries. There’s a good amount of musky spice, too, earthy like CBD, that carries a vague mango smell with it.

The first note is fruity, sitting on your tongue briefly before transforming on your palate into the spicy, woodsy flavor characteristic of myrcene. It finishes with a powerful blast of pine-flavored herbaceousness, leaving you with a clean palate almost like a breath mint would. The high is creative yet active, providing me with a wave of euphoria that triggers all sorts of creative pursuits from dancing to writing and beyond. SoFresh.farm
