One of the most tried-and-true of these products are Elbe’s famed ‘cake balls’ - which are infused, chocolate-covered balls of cake. But it’s the infusion that truly makes Elbe’s stand out from the pack, as they’re one of the few producers using canna-butter (oil infused with real butter) to create their product. They take this one step further by telling the consumer exactly what flower (and even more important, what producer) went into the butter. One of the great things about making an edible where THC or CBD is infused with butter, is that the effects have far more staying power than choices made simply with distillate. We tried the four flavors of cake balls they’re currently offering on the market this month, all utilizing the amazing flower of DogHouse. Cake balls are a perfect treat for sharing, as each comes with 15mg THC and you can easily split them in half or in thirds to share. Elbe’s Edibles has created truffle-quality Cannabis confections that could be sold in any boutique chocolate shop. Favorites included the lemon, chai and triple chocolate.

BITING INTO this insanely flavorful treat revealed a delightfully purple color, complemented by a delectable berry taste. Each mouthful is rich, doughy and moist, reminiscent of a fresh piece of cake! Although some edibles take a bit longer to kick in, I felt the effects start to take hold within 10-15 minutes of the Cake Bomb dropping down my throat. Initially, I welcomed a wave of relaxation as it crashed over me - starting behind my eyes and slowly making its way down the rest of my body. Typically, before bed I find myself wanting to smoke bowl after bowl. However, after eating the entirety of this whopping 50mg Cake Bomb, my Cannabis cravings were beyond satisfied, leaving me experiencing a deep state of inner peace and calmness. I would recommend those with a higher tolerance than most to enjoy the entire Cake Bomb for a well-rested night of sleep! Not looking to get knocked out? Try divvying into smaller portions, but undoubtedly beware that the deliciousness and potency of these appropriately named Cake Bombs is not to be trifled with.
