A BRIEF HISTORY Alistair Hammond is a third generation solicitor at Hammonds Law in Dargaville.

Hammonds Law can trace its establishment back to 1901, it has been in existence for over 100 years. William George Hammond, Alistair’s grandfather joined in partnership with Bill Worsley in 1950. Unfortunately, after three years, Bill Worsley passed away and shortly thereafter William Hammond was joined in the partnership by Graham Jackson. The firm went on with some small changes until Howard Hammond, Alistair’s father joined the firm, buying into the practice in 1968. The name of the firm then changed to Hammond Jackson and Hammond which reflected the partners at that time. In 1985 Dave Dennis joined the firm of Hammonds and became a partner in 1986. Dave still owns the firm today. Alistair joined Hammonds Law in 2009 and practices in the areas of property law, including residential conveyancing, business conveyancing, farm conveyancing, relationship property, subdivisions and any other matters pertaining to property law.
