Throughout the summer, I attended multiple elementary general music virtual conferences and came away with many new ideas and tips. I am always looking for new tech tips to save me some time, to reach multiple modalities of learning styles in my class, and to level up my classroom. Here are some that you might know or might be brand new that you can try immediately. Tech Tip #1 Guitar Chord Tools Extension (https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/guitar_ chord_tools/252705699803) Purpose: Change the key to a song on a Google doc with one click When I attended the Elementary Music Summit by Bryson Tarbet of “That Music Teacher Community”, I adored listening to Theresa Hoover’s session about Google Tips. She showed us the Guitar Chord Tools Extension. First, you copy and paste a lyric sheet with guitar or ukulele chords from a popular site, into a Google doc. You then go to Extensions>Guitar Chord Tools>Show Controls. From the Control Panel, you can change the key. Click go and the chords listed above the lyrics now change to the new key (See figures 1, 2, and 3).
