Nick Dolbin

Nick Dolbin is a law enforcement professional with more than 16 years of experience in public safety, emergency response, supervision, and department leadership. He serves as Chief of the Timberlake Police Department, where his responsibilities reflect a steady commitment to community service, officer support, and practical decision-making. His career has included recognized work in traffic enforcement, impaired-driving enforcement, drug interdiction, youth outreach, gun safety education, and department service, showing a balanced record of field experience and public-facing responsibility. Nick has held several leadership and instructional roles throughout his law enforcement career, giving him experience in both daily operations and officer development. Before serving as chief, he worked as a police sergeant and supported command-level functions, patrol oversight, and training responsibilities. His background includes work as a TAC Officer, Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, and firearms instructor, which required attention to procedure, safety, communication, and accountability in demanding law enforcement environments. Dolbin also gained valuable emergency communications experience as a 911 Operations Supervisor for a county-level emergency system that handled thousands of calls each day. In that role, he supervised call-taking shifts and supported response coordination for public alerts, emergency notifications, AMBER Alerts, mass-casualty incidents, media alerts, and cell phone pings. His duties also included monitoring radio traffic, assisting police and fire agencies with special requests, reviewing employee performance, and recommending additional training when needed. Nick Dolbin began his law enforcement path as an entry-level police officer assigned to patrol a subsidized housing complex. Over time, he served in multiple police departments in and around the Cleveland area, gaining hands-on experience in patrol, enforcement, administration, training, and command support.
