FROM THE CEO Joe Ewart Chief Executive Officer

New Era Technology has had a strong start to the year, and we remain optimistic about the remainder of 2021. Through the growth of our team in the US and internationally, we have been able to provide enhanced support and services to customers. Over the last couple of quarters, we have seen this result in both growths with existing customers, and key new customer wins across all areas of the company. We are working hard to build on this momentum as we move into the second quarter. Although the pandemic is still prevalent, we believe continuing COVID-19 safety measures coupled with the rollout of vaccinations provides a path to conditions improving in the second half of 2021. Our employees’ health is our top priority, and we encourage everyone to continue to be vigilant and practice appropriate safety measures. We appreciate everyone’s commitment and resilience during this time. Stay safe and healthy, Joe

Fortinet celebrates top-performing partners who maintained revenue growth and investment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more...

Industry Certifications - GCI Global Convergence Inc. (GCI), a New Era Technology Company, passed the SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications in Q1 and was recertified for the ISO 9001 Quality Certification. Although each is unique, collectively, these certifications represent protecting the interest and data of the organization and clients while demonstrating New Era’s ability to provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements at the highest standard.

CSO Australia Feature - NSE8 Certification Andrew Vinton, Security & Network Architect at Vintek, a New Era Technology Company, was featured in CSO Magazine for a Q&A highlighting the value of Cybersecurity Certifications. This certification makes Vinton the first person in Australia to obtain the prestigious honor. Two years later, Vinton is still the only person with the NSE8 certification to derive from Australia. Vaccines Encouraged

New Era Technology will not require the COVID-19 vaccine. However, we encourage all employees to get the vaccine to ensure the safest workplace for our employees, clients, and vendors. Four hours per shot will be provided to employees to cover the time away from work to get vaccinated. Please work with your manager to plan your time off and send a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record to HR@neweratech.com.

Planning of Office Reopening

We are currently in the planning stage of reopening our U.S. offices. We hope to have a voluntary reopening starting on June 1 for employees who wish to come back into the office. The HR team will be working with local management at each office to develop a safe and effective plan to welcome employees back under a voluntary basis only. Stay tuned to your email for more information as we progress through the coming weeks.

Stay Safe

With the warmer weather coming and a full year into the pandemic, please continue to be vigilant and safe while continuing to live with COVID-19. We must still practice social distancing, wear our masks, and frequently wash our hands when working in New Era offices and on client sites. If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you must not report to work in person. Our employees are our number one priority, and we all must work together to keep each other healthy and safe.

Open Enrollment Coming Soon

Our current benefit plan year will be ending on June 30, 2021. We will have our Open Enrollment in June 2021 for all employees to make their benefit selections for the 2021-2022 plan year beginning on July 1, 2021. Please keep an eye out in your inbox and on Paylocity starting in mid-late May for more information on the upcoming plan year’s benefit offerings.

$580K Project at a Glance Enterprise-wide Avaya IP Office VoIP system for 40+ campus buildings

Fairfield University is a private university located just an hour outside New York City in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was founded in 1942 and today is part of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. With 4,100 full-time undergraduate students and over 1,100 graduate students, Fairfield embraces a liberal humanistic approach to education, encouraging critical thinking, cultivating free and open inquiry, and fostering ethical and religious values. To complement this creative and unique educational culture, Fairfield commits to maintaining the highest technology tools and platforms. An RFP was issued to replace an aging campus Telecommunications system that was maintained by Carousel. They sought a reliable Avaya solutions partner and established an extensive evaluation process to select the best-in-class solutions provider based on experience, expertise, and support. New Era’s CT branch brought a local presence with proven expertise in education and healthcare and a known reputation for quality service delivery. This, combined with a unique design that met the University’s goal to enable their faculty to offer students innovative, experiential learning that positions them to excel in

the future, placed New Era in the driver’s seat. Ultimately, New Era prevailed against three prominent nationwide providers and a formidable incumbent. New Era designed and implemented an enterprise-wide Avaya IP Office VoIP system to integrate voice communications across 40 plus campus buildings. This included advanced applications such as Voicemail Pro, Parlance Speech attendant, and Avaya call reporting and recording. This design replaced the existing Nortel CS1000 system, which served 1,800 devices across the campus. Our project managers and implementation team went above and beyond the call to meet the client’s timeline by successfully executing this project during the pandemic. New Era successfully cut over the entire system under heavy COVID-19 restrictions. This project’s success has positioned us to propose multiple other New Era solutions including products and services for their 85,000 square foot, 3,500 seat multi-purpose arena (currently under construction on campus), and other university infrastructure initiatives.

Vanguard was interested in upgrading their

Client Briefing Center located at their Corporate Headquarters. Used to host high-caliber

customer meetings (deals of over one-billion dollars), New Era – PA’s team replaced two

Christie Digital Microtile video walls with a new Christie Digital LED Video Wall. The walls are

curved to create an immersive experience for Vanguard’s premier meeting participants.

SUCCESS STORIES Video Conference and Recording Services, Ministry of Justice Client: Ministry of Justice

Deal Size: Multi-year Contract

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is a major government and ministerial department at the heart of the justice system in England and Wales and is supported by 34 agencies. Alongside a long-standing partner, Vodafone (U.K.), Pinnaca, a New Era Technology company, has managed the MOJ’s secure video platform for 10+ years. Within January 2021, New Era’s video platform facilitated 4,939,000 minutes of connectivity. Most recently, Pinnaca designed and manages a recording service for vulnerable witnesses. This service allows pre-recording cross-examinations before trial. Pinnaca also provided secure external capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic to enable external agencies to connect through Pinnaca’s Justice Secure Cloud service. Through Pinnaca’s Secure NOC, the team has successfully managed high-profile cases, including Manchester Arena Bombing Trial and the Johnny Depp libel case. Pinnaca also has provided 300+ net new endpoints for Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), a public body that supports the MOJ.

Converting Sites for ADI/Resideo

Client: ADI/Resideo (formerly ADI/Honeywell) Deal Size: $350K

Deal Drivers: Lynne Tobin, Philip Koskoff, and Michael Judge Region: Northeast New Era Technology converted eleven sites (from Panasonic to Avaya G450’s) and added one new location in Texas. The client has shared their delight related to the implementation team by hosting weekly progress calls with the client for all sites. In 2021, the team was awarded another project to move the Communication Manager to a Co-Lo. Due to New Era’s efforts to stay connected with Honeywell, the customer reached out with an inquiry to work on their conversations with Avaya. In 2021, New Era will add a site in Florida, estimating around $50K in top-line revenue along with recasting the Avaya Support contracts.

Telehealth Solution for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Client: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) Deal Size: $1M

Deal Drivers: Dan Greil, Brian Giesen, Dan Tanel, and Pinnaca RFP Response Team Region: Global Video Collaboration (US)

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay. SJCRH had no telehealth program, limiting its capability to expand services. Pinnaca, a New Era Technology Company, teamed with industry leaders to provide a solution that met all SJCRH requirements. Pinnaca serves as the lead partner and works with AmWell, Pexip and Pinnaca VC Connect, and Pinnaca Managed Services. Awarded the project in late 2019, Pinnaca’s solutions include AmWell software with Cerner integration for scheduled visit telehealth, AmWell Telemedicine Cart for remote hospital partners, Pexip Infinity on-prem, and Pinnaca VC Connect for redundancy. Pinnaca also provides a managed service layer managing the Infinity solution, monitoring all hardware and carts, and is the primary point of contact for all issues.

Security & Data Network for Athol Dispensary Client: The Blue Jay Group Deal Size: $225K

Deal Drivers: Robert Fallon, Peter Bertoli, Joe Schlichte, and Peter Flynn Region: Northeast The Blue Jay Botanicals reached out to New Era to design and implement a security and data network for their first marijuana dispensary. They needed a robust and holistic security solution that allows for employee safety while meeting the state’s cannabis commission’s rigid regulatory requirements. New Era proposed a solution with New Era - NH for a Cisco Meraki data network that allows for easy management for the customer and enables them to pull video not only on-site but anywhere through a secure, online portalThanks to New Era’s experience in the retail space for marijuana, the customer had the confidence in New Era to design a security deployment that met all their needs.

Region: Northeast West New York BOE (WNY) is a long-time New Era customer. The school continues to rely on New Era’s guidance on investment protection while embracing new technology. Recently, WNY sought help to make their network current while welcoming a mixedenvironment of Meraki 225 and Cisco 9300 Switches. The account team maintained and updated a dynamic spreadsheet of all (13) school locations to include current and future targets for replacement. WNY utilized New Era for their Panasonic Physical Security platform and provided a PO to add cameras to (2) additional schools for an extra $110K. New Era was also awarded WNY’s 2021 E-Rate business for continued Network Upgrade for an additional $300k.
