As vehicles equipped with EOLYS DPF additive begin to rack up the miles, more and more are requiring refilling and replacement. As with anything, what should be a simple job can turn into a nightmare without the right tools – and thanks to feedback from customers we have learned that plain universal applications can do more damage than good.

Select the correct additive reference

Confirm the colour of the snap-on connectors on the additive tank situated at the rear left of the vehicle. Confirm the additive reference according to the APV-PR, OPR or DAM number indicated on the front left door of the vehicle. It is imperative that you do not mix the different references, so follow the connections and compatibility guidelines. Preparation for filling: Wear protective gloves and glasses. Put the vehicle on a hydraulic ramp or above the pit. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and free up the opening to the additive tank situated at the rear of the vehicle, below the left side.

Connect the snap-on tube from the re-fill kit to the additive tank vent’s snap-on connector.

Connect the kit’s recovery tube to the additive tank’s overflow opening and place an empty container (or bottle) below the tube to collect the surplus additive.

Position the container of additive on a raised support to fill the tank by gravity.

Once filled, reconnect the connectors and reset the computer.
