The traditional technique of machine darning is twisted into a contemporary technique to embellish cloth. Participants will be taken on a guided sketch-walk during the morning to document buildings, landmarks and people. The afternoon session will introduce the machine embroidery technique, transferring images created in the morning on to cloth, using freehand sewing. Outcome will be a sample piece in stitch of an image created by the participant. Advice will be given on required accessories for this technique. £80 includes materials and lunch.
