COACHING TEAM
Wesley Landsdale Level 3 Equivalent Ecb Coach
Ex professional with a first-class double hundred to his name - we’ve identified Wes as the man to take the club forward as Director of Cricket. Wes has a wealth of coaching and playing experience working with some of the top youngsters in South Africa and helping to develop his club in South Africa into arguably the strongest club in Johannesburg with multiple premier title wins. They did this with a philosophy of developing from within and creating a culture which attracts top club and youth players to want to play at the club which fits fully with our plans for RCC.

Nick Tester Level 3 Ecb Coach
Nick has huge coaching experience working in county setups in the UK and has helped with the development of many future professionals, including recent England international Dan Lawrence. Nick brings huge energy to his coaching, but more importantly than this, a desire to push boundaries and challenge players to reach their fullest potential – we’re excited to have him on board.

Michael Powell
Director of Cricket at Rugby School and Ex Warwickshire Captain. Mike will be familiar to many around the club, having started his cricketing journey at RCC in the 1990s and then returning as a current playing member after he retired from the professional game and moved back to the town. He brings a huge wealth of experience and is a phenomenal coach who will help our young players and older guys enormously. We firmly believe that with this team assembled that we have the best coaching team in the county and anyone who wants to can progress their game as far as possible. Whether that’s progressing from the youth sides into the 3rd team to start men’s cricket. Developing from the 3rds to the 2nds, breaking into the 1st team, dominating the league as one of the league’s best players or becoming a professional cricketer yourself!
