“We absolutely LOVE it,” Rachel says. “The teachers, the parents, everything about the school community. We couldn’t be happier.”
The Bowdens have been married for 13 years and knew that when they were blessed with children, a Catholic school is where they would send them. Adelynn is entering the 5th grade and Kayla is entering 2nd grade at NDES this fall.
“I went to Catholic and public schools growing up,” Jason says. “We wanted our girls to be in an environment like NDES all along. The moral values that the school demonstrates supports what Rachel and I are teaching them at home. The community is wonderful. We’ve met what I am sure are going to be lifetime friends here in the NDES community.”
The close relationship with the Sisters of Notre Dame is especially important for the Bowdens. Sr. Susan Clark, SND teaches Adelynn piano lessons each week and the enrichment program that Sr. Barbara Soplata, SND teaches are favorites.
“The kids learn so much (from the Sisters) and love seeing them in the hallways, outside, and at Mass,” Rachel says. “It really is a family. The teachers, the parents, the Sisters, and the students. It’s everything, we just love it!”
