“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” Mother Teresa
“Christian Service not only gives us an opportunity to see how fortunate and blessed we are, but it also allows us to build relationships with people who we wouldn’t otherwise know and those relationships are impactful and meaningful.” Shelley Dinges, NDP Director of Christian Service
Christian Service
Notre Dame Preparatory is unwavering in its commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church. We educate our students to understand their place in this world as servant leaders, especially to serve those who are less fortunate and marginalized. As part of graduation requirements, our students are expected to complete a minimum of 120 hours of Christian service with many going above and beyond. In fact, during the 2020-21 school year, students reported more than 23,000 completed Christian service hours.
Globally, our students organize fundraisers for hurricane victims and supply drives for schools. They travel on mission trips around the world to help those in need.
School-wide service events include campus beautification projects and assisting with school fundraisers and community building events. NPD's Saints 5K helps raise awareness for teen mental health, while raising money for the nonprofit notMYkid.
Notre Dame Preparatory was recognized as a Global Level Platinum High School by Catholic Relief Services for dedication to advancing Catholic social teachings and compassion for the poor worldwide.
