1950s

Nancy Dougherty Lavin ’56 and her husband, Thomas, are blessed with five children and 13 grandchildren.

1960s

Kathryn Pierce Cox ’61 is enjoying her time with her 29 grandchildren, including 17 boys and 12 girls who range in age from six months to 22 years.

Eileen Pfister Luscombe ’61 is enjoying retirement with her 10 grandchildren.

Gina Bacci ’64 works in the courtrooms at the Montgomery County Courthouse, having the opportunity to learn firsthand about the legal system.

Dr. Carole Samango-Sprouse ’68 is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics at Florida International University. She is trained in neurocognitive development and is also currently the Director of the Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic Center for Children and the Executive Director and Chief Science Officer of The Focus Foundation.

1970s

Dorsey Sitley Adler ’70 and her husband, Robert, are the founders of the Textile Design Group, the largest privately-owned textile library in the United States.

Karalyn Morrone DeLuca ’70 is retired from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Regulatory Compliance Team. She and her husband, Pip, have three children and three grandchildren.

Cynthia Leone Halpern ’70 will celebrate 47 years of marriage with her husband, Bernard, this year. Professionally, she received her Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College in Spanish Literature. Norita Heim ’70 is married to John Heim. They have two sons, five grandsons, and another grandchild on the way.

Donna Shaw Melzi ’75 is engaged to be married to Greg Eaton in 2021.

Elisa Hibbs ’77 minored in Theatre at Fairfield University and received her Master of Arts in Theatre from Villanova University. She held various acting and administrative theatre positions in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington and has worked at Villanova University in the Theatre Department for the past 27 years. Her daughter, Ciara, is a Class of 2020 graduate from the Academy. 1980s

Dr. Judy Hoover Kirby ’82, an ophthalmologist, attended Drexel University Medical School and completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine before she founded the Kirby Eye Center in Dallas, TX.

Jackie Murray Thomas ’85 is a Reading Specialist for the Tredyffrin / Easttown School District.

Amy Murray ’86, Senior Director of Global Marketing for McDonald’s Corporation, played a crucial role in the FBI undercover investigation of how $24 million was stolen from the McDonald’s Monopoly game of the 1990’s. Amy and her role in this investigation are featured in the hit HBO six-part documentary series, McMillion$, and she attended the 2020 Sundance Film Festival for the premier ofMcMillion$ on January 28, 2020, in ParkCity, UT. Prior to her current position, Amylived in Singapore, and was a leader in Family and Sports Marketing for McDonald’sin Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Dr. Emilie Larrazabal, DMD ’88 is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and Academy of Osseointegration. She is in private practice after receiving her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.

Tara Bullock Frohner ’89 is a financial professional at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

1990s

Lisa Hodgson ’90 (pictured below) served as a Naval Officer and is a Retired Surface Warfare Officer living in California.

Melissa Stack ’90 is a screenwriter in Los Angeles, and received her Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. Her work includes the film, The Other Woman, starring Cameron Diaz.

Dr. Tuyet-Nga Vu ’90 is a graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Hackensack University Medical Center before working with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.

Sarah Bolmarcich ’91 has spent 14 years in post-graduate teaching and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Classics at Arizona State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Smith College before completing her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Virginia.

Julie Kulzer ’92 is the CEO of VitamINfuse, a firm which provides hydration therapy solutions for optimal wellness. Julie is also a registered nurse and yoga teacher.

Laura Riley Thiele ’93, (pictured below) Head of Human Resources at SAP, leads the development and execution of Human Resources (HR) strategy for the newly formed SAP CustomerExperience business. Laura is responsible for 6,000 employees and her focus is on organizational design, cultural transformation, and leadership success. Laura is also an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate Programs for Human Resource Development at Villanova University.

Stephanie Johnson Volturo ’93 is Chief Conflicts Counsel for the Office of Conflicts Counsel in Delaware. After graduating from Villanova University and receiving her J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 2000, she moved to California and began her career working in intellectual property law. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware, and began a career in criminal defense and advocacy, while also serving as the Executive Director of SURJ, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reforming Delaware’s criminal justice system.

Katharine Losoncy ’94 is a mechanical engineer and has worked in the automotive, energy and aerospace industries. In 2017, she left a national research facility, The Aerospace Corporation, in California, to join Orbital ATK Corporation (now Northrop Grumman Space Systems), as a mission assurance manager and materials expert for additive manufacturing.

Megan Becher Prout ’94 is Senior Vice President of Commercial Law and Litigation at Plains All American Pipeline.

Victoria Dickens Khemani ’96 is a Senior Project Manager with Amazon in Seattle.

Carey Cheyney Kulp ’96 is an attorney with Volpe and Koenig, P.C. in Philadelphia.

Margaret Tarampi ’96 is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hartford. She received a Bachelor of Arts at Carnegie Mellon University before earning a Master and Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Utah.

Maria Iannarelli Vetter ’96 is a passionate and experienced education consultant, child advocate, and co-founder of the law firm Kershenbaum & Raffaele, LLC in Bryn Mawr, PA. Maria has spent her career working in diverse environments to benefit children with a wide range of special needs.

Dana Costello ’97 is a Senior Art Director at IMS Trading in Los Angeles. She has spent time as a graphic artist, graphic designer and educator after graduating fromDrexel University with a degree in graphic design.

Aisha Edwards ’97 is a Social Services Manager at Philadelphia Department of Human Services. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University ofPittsburgh before graduating with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University. Lindsay Emigh ’97 is a designer, working with celebrities to create their own brands on HSN and QVC networks.

Susan Tang ’97 is the Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Acquisition at MetLife. She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Economics and East Asian Studies before earning a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Lisa Larrimore Ouellette ’98 is an Associate Professor of Law and Justin M. Roach, Jr. Faculty Scholar at the Stanford School of Law. Prior to her time at Stanford, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School after earning her J.D. from Yale Law School and her Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University.

Regan MacLeod ’99 is Vice President for Product & Buying at Gap Inc. in New York City.

2000s

Karen Kennedy Dodds ’00 is the Chief Executive Officer at Kencor, Inc. Elevator Systems in West Chester, PA.

Greta Schelling ’00 married David Bennett in Charleston, SC on May 11, 2019. She is an Apprentice Trainer at Miami Seaquarium.

Katharine Criner Woozley ’00 is an orthopedic surgeon. She attended Temple University, where she received her medical degree, and completed both her residency in orthopedic surgery and internship in general surgery at Temple University Hospital. She also completed a fellowship in hand surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute.

Khalida Ali ’02 (pictured below) has spent the majority of her career as a leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the workplace. She is currently the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Vista Equity Partners in Austin, TX. She previously worked at Zendesk as Head of Diversity and Inclusion, where she was responsible for building inclusive and equitable business practices across 15 international offices. Her career began at Morgan Stanley and then NBC Universal, before becoming Vice President and the Chief of Staff for Bank of America’s Global Head of Campus Recruiting and Junior Talent Management. Alisa Kanjanakorn ’02 graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree from Drexel University. She advanced her career in the food science industry and is now a Product Developer at Danone, a company focused on healthy foods and sustainability. Elise Kemery May ’02 is a Knowledge Management and Business Process Consultant at DuPont. She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Maura O’Neill ’02 is a scientist at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. She was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Johns Hopkins University after receiving her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Celine DerKrikorian Narog ’03 is Assistant Vice President and Senior Counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Rosemary Saveri Magan ’05 is working in New York City at BlackRock as an Investment Management Associate.

Samantha Baxter ’07 is a Research Technician at Temple University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.

Jenna Boyer Morrow ’07 (pictured below) is a Senior Manager at Marriott International. She was recognized with the Emerging Leaders Award by Washington Women in Public Relations. Jenna graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media

and Communications.

Gina Daniels ’08 (pictured below) married Kevin Konicki on September 21, 2019. Amanda Michniewicz ’08, Katie Kuester ’08 and Kylie Young ’08 were in their wedding party.

Mary Emily Pagano ’08 is an Assistant Vice President, Team Leader at We Stand for Service (WSFS) Institutional Services.

Kaitlin Smith ’08 and Andrew Donnelly are engaged to be married on December 30, 2020. Kaitlin has worked for Vanguard for the past eight years and received a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Julia Tully ’08 (pictured below) was appointed Director of Campus Ministry for the Academy of Notre Dame in late 2019. Prior to her new role, Julia was a faculty member in the Academy’s Religion Department.

Maria Diliberto Vetter ’08 is a Mechanical Engineer at Dow Chemical Company, working on capital projects in Texas.

2010s

Caroline Nelson ’10 has been living in New York City after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology and is working as a copywriter at The Marketing Arm.

Elizabeth Robbins ’10 is pursuing her J.D. at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Michelle Dabkowski ’11 is an Environmental Organization Consultant and Marine Biologist. After graduating from Bucknell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior and Ethology, she went on to attend the University of Sydney and received her Master’s degree in Wildlife Health & Population Management.

Elisa Oliver ’11 teaches statistics at KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy and is a Teach for America Alumna. She graduated from Duke University and majored in Public Policy with minors in Education and Spanish. In 2017, she received a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University.

Erica Rubino ’11 is a Development Geologist at Chevron. Erica is engaged to be married on April 24, 2021.

Stephanie Coffua ’12 is Digital Media Planner and Campaign Manager for Vogue magazine in New York.

Colleen Hickey ’12 graduated in May with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota.

Shannon McCabe ’13 completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work at Temple University. She is currently a social worker at Crozer Chester Medical Center, responsible for ensuring patient safety during discharge from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and nursing facilities.

Meghan McDonald ’13 is an International Business Project Manager at Vanguard. She received a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Saint Joseph’s University and a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Drexel University.

Kelly McGuire ’13 received her Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in Communications with a minor in International Studies. She passed the Series 7 and 63 licensing exams before obtaining her current position at Vanguard as a Team Leader within the Flexible Workforce group. Kelly was recognized in May by a senior manager for strong leadership abilities and received the SPOT Award.

Barbara McHugh ’13 lives in Chicago and has worked for Medline Industries since graduation from the University of Michigan, where she was a Neuroscience major with minors in Business and German. Medline Industries is a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies in 20 countries. Barbara recently received a promotion and was elevated to Senior Product Manager.

Corey Loftus ’14 began proposing nominations for historic protection of buildings to Philadelphia’s historical commission while a senior at the University of Pennsylvania. Four of her nominations were passed to protect West Philadelphia architecture including the St. Francis de Sales Church on 47th and Springfield. In February, the University City Historical Society honored Corey with the Preservation Initiative Award for her work.

Kaitlin Marsini ’14 is a J.D. Candidate at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law after graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Kaylee Mulgrew ’14 is a 2018 Corps Member with Teach For America in the Greater New Orleans area. She writes, “I am a committed leader and an advocate for my students both inside and outside the classroom. I graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University in 2018 with a BA in economics and political science and a minor in education policy. I am a passionate leader in education, and I seek to make a greater change through education and the political process. I teach high school civics, financial literacy, and ACT prep, and I aim to make my students revolutionary thinkers and change makers."

Katie Schneider ’14 earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering. Two years ago, she conducted research for a nonprofit called TeachAids, which creates free AIDS educational videos that are used in over 82 countries. The organization is now creating concussion education videos and is currently in the process of launching “CrashCourse.” Currently, Katie is in a program called ACE - the Alliance for Catholic Education through the University of Notre Dame, which places teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools across the country. Katie is working toward her Master’s degree in Education, while teaching high school math and science and coaching girls’ soccer at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in Atlanta.

Carolyn Riegel ’15 is a Consulting Analyst at Accenture.

Anne Marie Crinnion ’16, a current student at Harvard University, recently had her first crossword puzzle published in The Wall Street Journal. At Harvard, Anne Marie studies Psychology on a Cognitive Science track and pursues a secondary degree in Linguistics.

Jessica Czachor ’16 will pursue a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology at the University of Pennsylvania upon graduation from Boston College in spring 2020. While at Boston College, Jessica was a Teacher’s Assistant, holding office hours and grading assignments for two computer science classes — Database Systems (SQL) and iOS App Development (Swift), and worked on building a Lenten reflection app for Campus Ministry. Madeline DelVescovo ’16 graduated in May with a Master’s degree in Sociology from Drexel University.

Becca Gleeson ’16, (pictured below with her mother, ND science teacher Deb Gleeson) a senior at Villanova University, recently presented at the Academy’s SparksTalks - a program for current Notre Dame students on the Robotics Team - about the benefits of networking and internships.

Phoebe McClernon ’16 (pictured below) was recently drafted to play professional soccer for the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League. Phoebe played at the University of Virginia, earning All-America Third Team, All-Region First Team, and All-ACC First Team honors.

Casey McCoy ’16, a senior in the Musical Theatre program at Indiana University, has performed in many Mainstage productions such as Wonderful Town, Pippin, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Urinetown. Casey has also been working professionally, performing in Cardinal Stage’s production of West Side Story and Our Town. Casey graduated in May with Distinction and on the Executive Dean’s List.

Janet Wu ’16, a senior at Oberlin College, is a published scientist whose research was recently presented in the publication Science Translational Medicine.

Emma Butler ’17, a rising senior at Fordham University, is a Political Science Major with an English and Spanish Minor. She spent her fall 2019 semester studying at Fordham’s London campus. She was also appointed as Copy Chief for The Fordham Ram newspaper.

Ally Carbonar ’17 is a rising senior at Baldwin Wallace University. She made her debut at Cleveland’s Great Lakes Theateras Zaneeta Shinn in the fall production of The Music Man. Her previous credits include Les Miserables (Eponine) at the Malvern Theatre Society, Cabaret (Lulu / Dance Captain) at Baldwin Wallace and Jesus Christ Superstar (Apostle / Ensemble) at the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre.

Julia Goldschmidt ’17 recently studied abroad through the London Global Gateway program with the University of Notre Dame, where she is a rising senior. Julia completed an internship at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Girls’ School in London, tutoring students with learning differences and serving as the Campus Ministry Student Minister. Jen Lepore ’18 (pictured below) is entering her junior year at Loyola University New Orleans. Jen played the lead role, Juliet, in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance’s production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet this past fall!

Emma Kichula ’19, a rising sophomore at the University of Michigan, accepted an internship with Team Maize working directly with the Michigan Men’s Basketball program and Associate Head Coach, Phil Martelli. She assists the coaching staff with organization of the recruiting database and event planning.

Maggie Pina ’19 is a rising sophomore and plays Division-1 basketball for Boston University. During her freshman year, Maggie was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week five times and Patriot League Rookie of the Year.

Angela Desmond ’01 is a physician-scientist and pediatrician in infectious diseases at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, while studying viruses in the lab and working around the clock to combat COVID-19. Angela completed residency in Pediatrics at Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago, with board certification in Pediatrics in 2018. She received her medical degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Elizabeth Adrianne Hammershaimb ’04

received her Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University before earning a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University and Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University. As a pediatrician working toward becoming an infectious diseases specialist in Baltimore, Maryland, Elizabeth is leading the charge in the fight against COVID-19.

Tory Gosnell ’06 earned a Bachelor of Science of Nursing and is currently at Eastern University in The School Nurse Certification and Master of Education program. She worked for six years at Beaumont at Bryn Mawr and is currently working to protect vulnerable elderly at Dunwoody Village as a Charge Nurse.

Sheila Finley ’11 is a nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, working in the Emergency Room and putting in 12-hour shifts. Following her graduation from the Academy, Sheila earned her nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
