Enjoy an exclusive private tour with an opportunity to see and enjoy the show gardens close up. Led by key horticulturalists to give us full insight into the garden wonders Bloom is showcasing this summer. Wednesday 25 June 10am ALTAMONT GARDENS AND VISUAL CARLOW Altamont Gardens have been noted as ‘the jewel in Ireland’s gardening crown’ and few who have visited would disagree. The gardens are an exquisite example of the best Irish gardens can offer and are curated to perfection. Our tour of the gardens could not come at a better time with the garden in it’s blossoming summer prime and it’s roses in full bloom. Following Altamont we will then journey the short trip to Carlow’s Visual where you will rest and be treated to a two-course lunch before enjoying a different aspect of what Carlow has to offer. Thursday 4 and 11 September 2.15pm FRIENDS SUMMER TOURS OF THE NATIONAL CONCERT HALL & IVEAGH GARDENS In early September, Friends will have the opportunity once more to be guided through Dublin’s hidden gem; The Iveagh Gardens. Craft Gardener and enthused horticultural expert, Donal Raynor, will personally guide you through garden’s history and highlights. The Iveagh Gardens are among the finest and yet the least known of all Dublin’s parks and gardens and are ideal for an afternoon stroll to take you away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Following the gardens we will give you a real insight into the history and workings of the National Concert Hall itself with a guided tour backstage and through some of our various grand rooms which you have come to know and love. The tours last 60-75 minutes and will be followed by complimentary tea/coffee in the Terrace Café. Tickets: Friends €5
Saturday 19 July 11.30am departure from the NCH RACING AT THE CURRAGH! Join us for a day at the races. Your coach transfer will leave The National Concert Hall at 11.30am.
