In the year 1963, my land at Bayavü Hill was sold to the Nagaland State Government in the name of my uncle Sengulie Tseikha. A memorandum of understanding was signed by the land owner and the State Government where any development to be done, contact work would be given to the land owner, employment to be given to the land owner and the undeveloped land areas would be returned back to the land owner. This way the land was sold to the Government at the rate of 5 paise per square feet. Today the undeveloped land areas are being sold by private individual. But I will never allow anyone to do this. As such my ancestral land which is situated at Lower Bayavü above SBI New Secretariat road Kohima which was acquired by Govt. of Nagaland and promised to returned back the unused land to the land owner. Hence from now onward if any unauthorized person tries to sell or encroach my land without my knowledge shall imposed fine and will be penalized accordingly. My uncle Shri.
