The young company my Boo from Kiel produces together with its partner, a social project in Ghana, bicycles made of bamboo. In doing so it successfully combines concrete social com-mitment, an innovative product and sustainable economic action! The Yonso Project stands up for education in Ghana by investing the on-site produced revenues in scholarships and micro credits. Moreover in the meantime more than 30 co-workers are paid fairly, are cov-ered by social insurance and have a permanent job with perspectives. Every bamboo bike is unique – lovingly handmade in 80 hours and refined in my Boo’s own manufactory in Kiel.
