With constant assignments and tests, finding a place to study can be challenging, especially during midterm and finals season. Kennedy Library is the place to go, offering numerous amenities and resources to utilize.

To satisfy hunger during long hours of studying and classes, students can head to Julian’s Café Bistro, open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and located on the second floor near the staircase. Julian’s offers a variety of drinks from caffeinated to non-caffeinated and food options such as pastries and sandwiches.
Kennedy Library also offers various environments and noise levels on each of the five floors, accessible by the elevator or stairs. The first few floors are louder for collaboration with friends; discussions overlap with one another contributing to the overall sound. As one escalates to the higher levels, the environment becomes tranquil, offering a quiet and focused ambiance for studying.
Resources at the library include printers and computers available for use. Located around the library, with the use of one’s PolyID and Cal Poly login, one can access a monitor to view assignments or print out papers for class. Study rooms can also be requested and used for group projects and working with others. The rooms offer screens and whiteboards to work on assignments. Numerous outlets are also provided throughout the library to accommodate the number of students and electronics. Most outlets can be found along the walls by the windows, the windows providing natural light and the outlets preventing worry about electronics running out of battery.
Cal Poly’s Kennedy Library is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays and closed on Saturdays. For days when the library isn’t open, there is the Hub24, located alongside the main library, open all day, every day.
