PREPARATION 1/
Fitting the carriage (2) and the head (1) to the guide rail (3). • Insert the carriage (2) on the guide rail (3) from the left side, when viewed from operator’s position. The carriage head must slide freely on the guide rail, the advance lever (11) being in the upper position. • Fit the head (1) into the carriage (2) and secure it with the head clamp (15) and 4 security bolts (14).( Make sure that the presser embossing 16 (Inside part of the head ) is directed towards the carriage side.) • Slide the carriage to the left hand side to start.

Loading the fasteners into the comb (7). • Check the thickness and the width of the belt and select the correct MINET 20002 or 20003 fasteners. • Insert the loops of the fasteners between the teeth of the comb (7). • Insert the gauge pin (6) through the comb and the loops of the fasteners. (To ease this operation, raise the fasteners slightly ; then fold them back - fig. A & A’). Gauge pin

Inserting the belt • Cut the conveyor belt accurately and at right angles • Insert the belt-end into the fasteners until it is touching the comb (or the strip if there is one) (fig. B & B’).

Center the belt while allowing a slight difference of 8 mm (5/16’’) between the fasteners of the leading side and the fasteners of the trailing side. (fig. C)
