Championship Overview

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is a European Tour Rolex Series golf tournament that unites some of the best players in the world for four days of high-intensity competition. As part of the Rolex Series, the event also offers the most premium experience for everyone from players and caddies to the fans watching from home.
Entering its third year as the first Rolex Series event of the season, the Championship delivered excellence both on and off the course despite the challenges presented with the Covid-19 pandemic. The field featured Major champions Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and Danny
Willett alongside European Captain Pádraig Harrington and 28 Ryder
Cup stars in a world-class field including Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas (his first appearance in the Middle East), Ian Poulter and defending champion Lee Westwood.

In a four-day battle, 132 players competed for the prize purse of $8 million looking to better Lee Westwood’s win in 2020. England’s
Tyrrell Hatton clinched victory and his fourth Rolex Series title with a final-round score of 66.
