Its business of hand-crafting paddles fits well into the adventure lifestyle of residents and visitors Vaux’s Swifts are the official bird of Monroe and can be seen swirling to roost in the Frank Wagner chimney during their spring and fall migration The SMOKE STACK in Monroe is all that remains of a large condensery in the location of the Monroe Shopping Center. The smoke stack was built in 1919 , stands 150 feet tall and almost 11 feet in diameter.
