Bravo Norge AS designs and equips a bespoke AV package at new upscale hotel, including over 250 Bose Professional loudspeakers across the property. Located in the town of Hindås, 25 minutes from Gothenburg, Hjortviken Country Club is the latest luxury property owned and operated by ESS Group. Opened in January, the facility features 150 guest rooms, various sized meeting and conference rooms, indoor and outdoor pool areas, a spa, nightclub, two restaurants and a bar. With the desire to offer its guests an audio experience to match the stunning interiors, ESS Group sought the expertise of IT and AV integrators Bravo Norge AS. “We went all-in with Bose Professional once we understood the scale of the project and the need for audio systems across many different zones,” said David Eriksson, Key Account Manager at Bravo Norge AS. “The designs we came up with early on were based partly on our preference but most importantly the client’s needs.” Eriksson reached out to Bose Professional’s Swedish Experience Centre, handily located in Gothenburg, to invite the venue operators to experience the company’s wide variety of audio solutions. “We set up a listening session to ensure that the end user was familiar with why we chose certain products for each area,” said Eriksson. “They had their perceptions of what they required, and we demonstrated the solutions we had in mind at Bose Professional. For this project, ESS Group have their own sound image for the venue, so they could try all their content at the demo.” Anders Haglund, Bose Professional’s Territory Manager for Sweden, was project lead from Bose Pro, and described the process. “In our demo room we have all of our products set up and ready to play – and we offer customers to chance to come in and play their own choice of music,” said Haglund. “We can pair different subwoofers with different loudspeakers, and effectively put together an audio solution tailored specifically for each space. “We held a short presentation, during which we showcased solutions for background music, foreground music, and a nightclub setting, because we wanted to avoid the customer purchasing loudspeakers for a certain area that didn’t work to their expectations. We took our time, but it was worth it.” After the session, Eriksson put together a pre-project document to outline the specifics, which pinpointed what would meet the client’s needs, both aesthetically and from an audio quality perspective. Close to 300 speakers were selected for use across the building, while a dedicated AV package was supplied for the meeting and conference rooms, which was made up of Epson projectors, Samsung displays, Sennheiser and Barco communication solutions, and Bose Professional
