Moez Kassam

Moez Kassam is a leading global investor, entrepreneur and philanthropist, widely known as the co-founder of Anson Funds, a successful hedge fund with offices in Toronto and Dallas. Anson Funds manages approximately $1.4 billion in investments for high-net-worth individuals, institutions and other organizations. It has been chosen as a top-performing fund by Barron’s and Bloomberg; and it has also been listed as one of the Barclay Managed Funds Top 10 Hedge Funds. Moez Kassam graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later pursued his studies at the London Business School, where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree in finance. And in 2025, he received a Doctorate in Law from Toronto Metropolitan University. As a portfolio manager with a history of success, Moez Kassam networks with leaders in many fields, and is in constant touch with a wide range of economists, academics, CEOs, managers and financial professionals. His involvement in the community not only helps him seek out overlooked investment opportunities, but it also allows him to allocate some of his time to causes that need assistance. Together with his wife, he manages the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund, a highly involved charitable organization that supports philanthropic organizations in various regions of Canada such as Toronto and around the globe.
