NDSU PRESIDENT VISITS MINOT FOR NDSU RESEARCH EXTENSION CENTERS ANNUAL FIELD DAY

The North Dakota State University Research Extension Centers annual field days were in Minot on July 20. Field Days take place at the Research Extension Center sites across the state and feature speakers, presentations, and tours covering a diverse array of topics. NDSU's 15th President David Cook attended this years events.

Field Day began with a pest clinic featuring weed, insect, and plant disease specimens and the learning continued with various demonstrations throughout the morning. The group then visited the NDSU Extension - Ward County Office and toured the Towner State Nursery. A social for President Cook was held at Whiskey Nine that evening. Minot Area Chamber EDC staff and board members, local legislators, community members, and Minot State University President Steven Shirley were able to attend. At the event, community leaders gifted President Cook a model B-52.
