World Premieres Include Ten Chimneys at Arizona Theatre Company and Old Glory at Writers Theatre. Arnold has designed scenery, costumes, lighting, projections, and performance media both nationally and overseas for theater and industries like opera, museum exhibits, fashion, art installation, immersive theater, and film. On Broadway, he assisted in William Ivey Long’s studio, and he has collaborated with Off-Broadway companies like The Brooklyn Ballet, StudioEIS, Izquierdo Studios, FringeNYC, Soho Rep, 2ndStage, Fashion Week, Performa, and many others. Regional work includes design residencies for various companies in South Florida, Utah, Ohio, and California. Internationally, his work has traveled to Prague, Warsaw, the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, and the U.A.E. For over a decade now, he has taught design and technology courses in NYC, South Florida, and California and is currently professor of scenic and costume design at California State University Los Angeles. Rachel is excited to be working with Milwaukee Rep for the first time! She is passionate about using light to tell stories on stage, to generate public activity and to connect individuals to their community. Her work can be seen in theatres and architecture throughout the USA including with Le Petit Theatre, Penobscot Theatre Company, About Face Theatre, Victory Gardens, Music of the Baroque, and Lucky Plush Productions. Rachel has received two Primetime Emmy Award Certificates for Best Lighting (SYTYCD 2011-2012), two IES Awards (Merchandise Mart, Politan Row), and two Jeff Nominations (Welcome to Jesus, The Gulf). Additionally, she is the Visiting Lighting Design professor at Tulane University.

Alexander B. Tecoma Costume Designer Alex is in his 28th Season as a Draper in Milwaukee Rep’s costume shop. Past Rep designs include Titanic the Musical, A Christmas Carol, West Side Story, Ring of Fire, Songs for Nobodies, and more. Alex has designed costumes for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, First Stage Children’s Theatre and Harley Davidson’s 100th Anniversary Tour. Other professional credits include American Players Theatre, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Colorado Shakespeare Festival and Santa Fe Opera. Alex is most proud of being part of the team that helped create “Stitching History from the Holocaust,” an exhibit produced by the Jewish Museum Milwaukee. MFA in Costume Design and Technology from University of Illinois.

JC Clementz is the Casting Director at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company and a freelance stage director. Prior to Steppenwolf, he spent four seasons as Casting Director at Milwaukee Rep where he also directed seven productions including Forever Plaid, Murder For Two, and The Nerd. He also served as Associate Director for the preBroadway run of the musical The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John and lyrics by Shaina Taub. Christopher has performed, The Musical. This season you can see her directed, and designed violence, movement work on Dial M for Murder, The Chosen, and and intimacy for professional theaters across Nina Simone: Four Women. Other credits the country, including Ogunquit Playhouse, include Utah Shakespeare Festival, Second Door Shakespeare, First Stage Children’s City Chicago, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Theatre, Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival First Stage, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and (now The REV), Next Act Theatre, Milwaukee Goodman Theatre. Mark is an award-winning international theater director whose work has appeared in over 100 major theaters throughout Europe and the United States. He began his tenure as Artistic Director with the 2010/11 Season by bringing musicals to the mainstage, starting a tradition that is now the highlight of every season. Mark has directed over 30 productions at Milwaukee Rep including World and American Premieres, his own adaptation of the current A Christmas Carol and all but one mainstage musical including Titanic the Musical, West Side Story and Dreamgirls. Prior to joining Milwaukee Rep, Mark served as an Associate Artistic Director for several UK theater companies, most notably, Artistic Director for the awardwinning Derby Playhouse in the UK where he directed over 40 productions. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and several UK Theatre Awards, and has won three Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia. He created and directed the West End and UK National Tour of Soul Train. Mark is currently working with Ayad Akhtar on adapting his critically acclaimed novel American Dervish for the stage to make its World Premiere in an upcoming season.

Now in his eleventh season at Milwaukee Rep, under Chad’s guidance the theater has grown significantly from a $9M to $14M+ organization. He’s completed two capital campaigns to remodel the Stackner Cabaret, build the endowment, launch the John D. Lewis New Play Development Program, create a new A Christmas Carol and deepen the theater’s community engagement programs. He is currently stewarding the $78M campaign to build the new Associated Bank Theater Center. Previously he was the Associate Executive Director at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, where he was instrumental in opening the Mead Center for American Theater, a new 200,000 square feet performing arts complex. While at Arena, he worked on the Broadway transfers of Next to Normal (Pulitzer Prize; Tony Award), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Tony Award), and Wishful Drinking starring Carrie Fisher. Bauman is a graduate of Harvard Business School with a Master of Fine Arts in producing from the CalArts.
