Family housing on post is operated and managed by Fort Lee Commonwealth Communities, LLC. The office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Fort Lee family housing is divided into three grade/rank designations: junior noncommissioned officers, senior NCOs and officers. Currently, Fort Lee has six separate housing neighborhoods: Jackson Circle, Harrison Villa, Madison Park, Jefferson Terrace, Monroe Manor and Adam’s Chase. All of the neighborhoods provide space and amenities normally found in private sector developments. Currently, several units on Fort Lee are handicap adaptable for special needs residents. Bedroom composition ranges from two-bedroom to five-bedroom units within the different neighborhoods. Our neighborhood communities have dedicated teams consisting of two community managers, along with five resident relations specialists, four leasing agents, a maintenance staff and grounds keepers. Housing residents are required to sign a lease and will receive a Resident Handbook upon assignment to a home on post. Single permanent-party military members should call (804) 7343977 to arrange for on-post housing. Eight bachelor officer quarters (with two-bedroom apartments) and two senior enlisted quarters are available. These personnel have the option of residing on or off post. BOQ’s and SEQ’s are furnished. Those in the grades of E-5 and below are normally housed in the installation’s barracks, buildings P-8401, P-8402 or P-8150. There is no geographical bachelor housing available on the installation. Advanced Individual Training Soldiers must reside on the installation in their unit’s barracks. AIT students should not bring family members with them while stationed at Fort Lee. Housing for other military students varies depending on a student’s status. Most students are prohibited from bringing family members to Fort Lee. Questions regarding housing policies should be directed to the various schools’ cadre.

Utility Waivers

Army Community Service Building 9023 1231 Mahone Ave. Phone: (804) 734-6388 The Utility Deposit Waiver Program is for active-duty Soldiers who PCS to the Fort Lee area. The waiver is for new customers of Columbia Gas of Virginia and/or Dominion Virginia Power and must be requested within 10 work days of hook up. The UDWP may cover up to $200 of the security deposit fees and be used only once during the one PCS tour. First you must locate your residence. Then, contact Columbia Gas (1-800-543-8911) or Dominion Virginia Power (1888-667-3000) to open or transfer the account. The name on the account must be the service member or sponsor. Once your account is open, bring the following to Army Community Service for processing: (1) Resident address; (2) Account Number(s); (3) Valid military ID card with at least 14 months remaining until the expiration date or a copy of reenlistment paperwork (exception: military family members can obtain the waiver for their sponsor with a valid Power of At-
