Keep your mind and body active by fundraising for Bloodwise

Bloodwise Bromsgrove, which has raised more than £1 million for the charity carrying out life-saving research into blood cancer over the past 32 years, is inviting residents to take part in two fundraising events this month.

The group is holding a virtual quiz night on March 26. There will be no winners or losers, just the opportunity to test your brain cells and have a bit of fun. You can take part on your own or with several people in your own household. The suggested donation is £5 per person.

You can also sign up for the Walk of Light on March 27, walking as the sun sets from wherever you are and following your own route.

Whether you walk in memory of a loved one, to reflect on what has been a challenging time for everyone affected by blood cancer, or because you want to light the way to a brighter future, there is room for everyone. Sign up at: www.bloodcancer.

When you register, click that you heard about the event through the Bromsgrove branch and the money you raised will be credited to its account.

The group hopes that these virtual challenges will inspire you to take part and raise money. Unfortunately some research had to be cut because of the pandemic. Sadly blood cancer is still present and patients are finding it hard to get diagnosed at the moment.
