It was an absolute honor to host another successful fundraiser for Mommy’s Heart, our 501 (C) 3 supporting victims of abuse, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the lovely Water Mill, NY residence of Leslie Barrett with the support of guests Mrs. New York America, Yasmeen Gumbs-Breakenridge, Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., Claudine De Niro, Jean Shafiroff, Count Joseph Di Palma, Countess Joycelyn Engle Di Palma, My Unorthodox Life’s Ra’edSaade, and Farzana Neimann. Billy Bob Thornton, Sally Kirkland, Michael Madsen, Myles von Trapp, Florence Anthony, Charles Matthau, Katlean De Monchy, Lorraine Silvetz, MSW, Jane Scher, RN, Michael J. Golia, JD, Tabber Benedict, Kemi Areke, Nellie Scuitto, and Natalie Merkle served on the Mommy’s Heart Summer Soirée Host Committee. Jamison-Jones In my speech, I thanked all board members, host committee members, sponsors, and supporters. I spoke about why Mommy’s Heart was created after personally experiencing the throes of family court and the launch of our pro-bono legal program with participating law school students on May 27, 2023. “Because of your help we were able to begin rolling out our services, providing free legal assistance and mental health services to families in need who have escaped abuse in the home.
