Welcome to THE METRO BOOK CLUB at the Robert Thomson Memorial Library. First, be sure and click on FOLLOW so you will get new publications sent to you and any updates. You need to have a FREE Issuu account to FOLLOW which will give you access to thousands of publications. If you copy and paste any of our titles and we update them they will disappear. We are all about sharing books and creating online libraries. We encourage everyone to bring up a book, copy the URL at the top, and paste it into your computer. Add it to your emails, website, and social media platforms. Copy as many as you like and build your online library you can share with everyone. We have lots of titles. Foremost, are METRO Guides. There are 10 of them telling you the latest on small business and the arts in the neighborhoods of Metro Vancouver. Then, there are BRAVO Adventure Guides. Who doesn’t like adventure topics like Pirates of the Caribbean, the Old West, Colonial America, Fortress Europe, Gold Rush, and Civil War. There are 10 books on B.C. community bands, high school bands, and music educators from the Golden Age of Youth Bands, the 1960s through the 1990s. If you ever wondered why Canada only has one National airline you should read our book on Canadian Airlines. Canada is a land of immigrants and we have a book on a much-loved Vancouver success story called My Greek Barber’s Diary. If you ever wondered who the artists were who created those west coast masks and totem poles you can visit 200 native artists up north in The Train to Haida Gwaii. There are also a few movie treatments. If anyone knows any of the A-list actors we wrote the movies for and can get this site to them and they come on board there is a 10% finder's fee.
