Suffolk County Police have arrested a Farmingdale teen who damaged an Oakdale building as part of a social media challenge.

Suffolk Police Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate three men who stole multiple ATVs and a truck.

Five ATVs and a pickup truck were stolen from Joe’s Auto Service, located at 10 Depot Road in Huntington Station, on March 4, sometime between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. The ATVs were loaded into a U-Haul van.

A Fifth Precinct police officer was patrolling the former Dowling College property, located at 150 Idle Hour Blvd., when he observed three males walking on the property at approximately 6 p.m. It was determined that one of the teens broke a window with a rock. The male, 18, claimed he caused the damage as part of a social media challenge targeting historic buildings.

Fifth Squad detectives and Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating previous incidents of criminal mischief at the location. Police have been conducting patrol checks of the property following community complaints. The teen was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and issued a Field Appearance Ticket. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 10.

Anyone with information on this or similar incidents is asked to call the Fifth Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8532 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify the man who stole fragrances from a Bay Shore store.

A man stole approximately $800 worth of fragrances from Ulta, located in the South Shore Mall, on March 3 at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from an Islandia store in January.

A man stole jewelry and clothing, from Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway, on January 1.

DWAI Driver Strikes Multiple Cars, Killing Man

A man was arrested and charged Sunday afternoon, driving a truck while impaired by drugs and crashed into multiple cars, killing a 21-year-old man and leaving injured two people.

Christopher Guzman, 39, of Farmingville, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on Middle Country Road near Wood Road at about 5 p.m. , when his vehicle struck the side of an eastbound 2011 Toyota Camry.

He continued driving westbound. Only a short distance away, the Chevrolet struck a westbound 2012 Ford Escape, police said. Guzman and the driver of the Toyota Camry were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford Escape was also taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Timothy Carpenter, 21, a passenger in the Ford Escape, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Guzman was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. He is scheduled for arraignment at a later date.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555.

Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who damaged a vehicle in a Lake Grove parking lot in March.

A man exited a white Mercedes Benz SUV in a parking lot on Alexander Avenue at 8:10 p.m. on March 4 and scratched the side of a 2023 Rivian R1S parked in the lot. The man got back in the Mercedes and left the scene.

Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole from a Commack store in December.

A man stole a Meta Quest VR Headset from Target, located at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, at 8:55 p.m. on December 8, 2022. The merchandise was valued at approximately $700.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a woman who stole from a Melville business last year.

A woman stole a tip jar from the counter at Cheezly’s, located at 606 Broadhollow Road, at approximately 2 p.m. on April 19, 2022. The jar contained approximately $600 in cash.

Tanasia Tetterton, 17, of Coram, was found unharmed on Monday, Suffolk police said. She had been reported missing on Sunday after she had not been seen since early Friday.

The Coram teenager was reported missing on Sunday, Suffolk. Tanasia was last seen at her home on Fife Drive around 2 a.m. Friday. Her family believed she was going to stay with an acquaintance for the weekend, but she was reported missing when her family found she was not staying with her friend, police said.
