MECHANICSVILLE -Hanover County Parks and Recreation invites runners, joggers and walkers, with and without their canine companions, to register for the Pooch Pursuit 5K-2K on Saturday, April 18, starting at 9:30 a.m., at Pole Green Park at 8996 Pole Green Park Lane in Mechanicsville. The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 15, but don’t delay as the first 100 registered participants will receive a t-shirt and pet friendly goodie bag. Registration fees are $30 for each 5K runner/walker and $15 for each 2K jogger/walker. Runners, joggers and walkers are welcome to participate with their canine companion at no additional cost.
