Lhasa E The Trail- and Trekking Pedelec with the Pioneer’s Experience. After CENTURION presented what is now one of the most praised electric full-suspension bike concepts as recently as the 2015 model year with the Numinis E, the logical complement of the pedelec program in terms of trail-e-MTBs now follows with the Lhasa E. As with the Numinis E, with the new full-suspension trekking bike the CENTURION engineers have followed the approach of designing not an e-bike with suspension, but rather a “real” mountain bike with sensibly integrated motor support. In its first season, the new Lhasa E will already be available in two different concepts. Although both of them are 29ers with “only” 100 millimeters of front travel as well as 80 millimeters at the rear, the models 640, 650, and 650 DX are “MTB Light”; they therefore roll on trail-suitable 2.25 tires and are equipped with correspondingly potent forks and shocks. The Lhasa E 640 EQ, 650 EQ, and 650 DX EQ versions are considerably more long-haul oriented. Not only do they have lighter-rolling 2.1 tires, but as “EQ” (= equipped) models they also feature lights for participation in road traffic, an integrated rack, and fenders. In terms of geometry, we interpret the Lhasa E as particularly comfortable, drivetrain-neutral and, thanks to design-induced long chain stays, with predictable steering and inspiring lots of confidence. In the process, all five of the model variants available for the 2016 season rely – typically of CENTURION – on the proven support from Bosch. In addition to the familiar 400 Wh batteries, new 500 Wh batteries are also used. In terms of the drivetrain, the new 1x10 Shimano Deore with a 11-36 cassette is highly suitable. No compromises when choosing your bike for trail and trekking. The new Lhasa E.
