Radio 4 EB a Multicultural Ethnic community radio broadcast organisation every year celebrates the Women’s day at the radio station. Irene Tavutavu, is one of those inspiring women in our city of brisbane who never fails to organise this event. She meticulously plans the meal and cooks most of the dishes herself for such celebrations. It was a delight to taste the different cuisines from all over the world. A complete potpourie of cuisines representing the different ethnicities of women present in the hall. .

There were community leaders, radio presenters, announcers, program convenors and wonderful speakers who shared their heartfelt stories of success with other women present at the event. It was a good networking day.
Cr. Vicky Howard graced the occasion. Her speech inspired and motivated many to work for the council. Irene also spoke about why it is necessary to nominate women for the Order of Australia.
In the day an age of digital Technology the mental health of women has become a concern post COVID. Pushpa Vaghela informed the ladies present about her organisation and the work she does in the area of Women’s mental health and abuse program
SAGE Safe at All Ages - everybody is entitled to Respect & suffer No form of Abuse! Suzanne Dang had the most touching emotional story. She shared her lived experience with mental health and her journey towards becoming a motivational speaker. Every women in her life some point of time goes through supression, abuse, and depression. How you cope with these situations determines your path to lead a healthy happy life.
As women we must appreciate eachother, help eachother and support eachother. The International Women’s Day celebration at 4EB became a safe space for many women that day who mixed mingled and shared their stories.
A true celebration of achievements and battles we as women fight for.
