I am Mark, an Audio and Visual Practitioner, Practice-led Researcher, Writer and Publisher with over 30 years of professional experience. I work with organisations to research and communicate values, people, purpose, and futures using visual and audio storytelling. My work sits at the intersection of research, practice, and communication. I use photography, sound, video, and writing to examine how organisations represent themselves, how people experience work and place, and how professional futures are imagined and shaped. The focus is on clarity, ethics, and long-term value rather than surface-level content. I hold a Master’s degree in Photography and the distinction of Associate from the Royal Photographic Society. Alongside professional practice, I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, contribute to academic research, and speak publicly on photography, posthuman practice, psychogeography, and professional futures. I was invited to speak in Paris in 2024 on practice-led research exploring narrative, dialogue journaling, and place-based inquiry. My career spans commercial commissions, editorial work, fine art practice, publishing, and education. I have led workshops, exhibited internationally, and worked with individuals and organisations seeking thoughtful, research-informed visual communication. My current practice is informed by photographers and scholars, including Robert Frank, Richard Misrach, and researchers working in visual culture and place-based studies. Recent projects take the form of visual and audio essays, zines, and books that explore work, landscape, memory, and everyday experience. I collaborate with organisations that value depth, reflection, and ethical representation. If you are interested in research-led storytelling that documents people and purpose with care, I welcome the conversation. Alumni: University of Plymouth – MA and BA (Hons) in Photography
