CUPPING THERAPY
Cupping therapy is a manual treatment that places heated or suction cups on your skin to create a gentle vacuum. This vacuum lifts the skin and tissue which increases blood flow in the area. Many people use it to ease muscle tension, support recovery after activity and reduce nagging aches.
There are two common styles. Dry cupping uses suction only. Wet cupping involves light skin pricks followed by suction, although this option is less common in general wellness settings. Cups can stay in place or be moved slowly across the skin. The technique can leave round marks that fade within a few days.
People often choose cupping when they want a simple way to relieve tight muscles or when they feel stiff from long hours at work or training. The treatment can give a warm, pulling sensation that many find relaxing. It is usually used alongside other approaches such as massage or stretching.
