The Morrison Government has backed Santos in its move to dispossess the Gomeroi people by lodging an application in the Native Title Tribunal seeking to enforced the Narrabri gas field and desecrate sacred lands. All three NSW Branches of the MUA announced in May last year they were prepared to back Traditional Owners, farmers and the community in opposing Coal Seam Gas extraction in Narrabri with “everything they’ve got”. Workers for Climate Action held a meeting after the rally in preparation for the School Strike for Climate worldwide protest on March 25.
